The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (Fransaskois School Board) is the school board that oversees French-language education in Saskatchewan. It has 15 schools and 2,284 students from junior kindergarten to grade 12. No other school board in this province offers full-time French-language education. French-language teaching is available in 11 municipalities and their surroundings throughout the province, including Bellegarde, Bellevue, Gravelbourg, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Ponteix, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Vonda and Zenon Park. Services provided include:

  • Daycare offered in partnership with the community at most of its schools
  • School outings throughout the province as part of the school board’s program oriented towards culture and sports
  • Online teaching
  • A school board that is both public and catholic
  • Free school bus transportation

French-language services in Saskatchewan related to postsecondary education, literacy and adult continuing education are provided by Mathieu College and the Institut français of the University of Regina.
