There are six French-language schools in the province.
The Conseil scolaire francophone provincial de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador (CSFP) has six schools attended by 366 students from kindergarten to grade 12. The CSFP is the only school board in Newfoundland and Labrador to offer the French as a first language program. The CSFP serves the communities of Saint John, Labrador City, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Cap Saint-Georges and La Grand’Terre. Services offered by the French-language school board include:
- Full-time kindergarten
- Small community-based schools with multi-grade classes
- Orthopedagogy services
- Free school bus transportation.
