Three school districts in New Brunswick provide full-time French-language education to 33,731 students from kindergarten to grade 12 in 90 schools – the Conseil d’éducation du District scolaire francophone du Nord-Ouest, the Conseil d’éducation du District scolaire francophone Nord-Est and the Conseil d’éducation du District scolaire francophone SudThey are the only school districts or school boards to offer the French as a first language program within this province. The Fédération des conseils d’éducation du Nouveau-Brunswick (FCÉNB) works in collaboration with these school districts. Services provided by the French-language school districts include:

  • Integrated services to foster learning from early childhood to high school
  • A network of integrated services for children and their family
  • Community-based schools where everyone (parents, school staff and community members) shares in the student’s success
  • Learning support centers to assist professionals working with children and students,
  • An inclusive education system which focuses on differentiated instruction to meet the needs of every student
  • Schools with a two-fold mission: to foster educational success and a strong sense of identity in all students.
