French language education in
Prince Edward Island

The French-Language School Board of Prince Edward Island has 6 schools with more than 800 students from kindergarten to grade 12. No other school board in the province offers full-time French-language teaching. Services at the French-language school board include:
- Remedial tutoring, counselling and special needs education
- Teacher’s aides for students with special needs
- Mentoring clubs
- Recognition of Acadian heritage
- Nursery school and daycare services at some of its schools
French-language services in Prince Edward Island related to postsecondary education, literacy and adult continuing education are provided by Acadia College which has campuses in DeBlois, Wellington and Charlottetown.
